Arrochar is aiming to become the cleanest village in Argyll & Bute, with the help of the Arrochar Youth Group who are undertaking a litter-pick on Sunday 28th July 2013, starting at 10.30am from the Surgery at 1 Kirkfield Place, Arrochar.

All residents are encouraged to come and join in.

The Youth Group are looking for sponsorship towards a trip to Tsavo West in Kenya in July 2014, to construct an education/medical facility for a local community.

The project is being led by Arrochar Practice Nurse, Angela McKell, and joined by Dr Berandelli, Practice Nurse, Jean Cairns, and other volunteers.

Several people have already pledged money, but further sponsorship is required.

Information regarding the project, funds raised so far and how to donate can be found online here at Go Fund Me.

Great to see Argyll’s young folk prepared to set out to help others wherever they are – and, clearly, starting close to home.
